VCDX4

I was very interested by the VCDX certification when VMware first announced it and it’s been something that I have wanted to do for quite some time. But when vSphere came on my radar I lost my motivation a little bit. I learned today though that VMware plan to make the VCDX4 certification available sometime in Q1 2010. Consider me re-motivated
WorkStation 7 License for VCP4 Success

I was very pleased to discover today that VMware are continuing their generous gift of a Workstation license for people who pass the VCP4 exam (VCP410). And, since Workstation Version 7 was recently released, it is going to be a version 7 license.
On a related note Vmware also confirmed this week that they will retire the VCP3 exam on 31/12/2009. Also after that date VCP3 certified people will have to take a course first if they want to take the VCP4 exam.
That doesn’t leave much time for anyone wanting to upgrade their certification. Make sure you book your exam soon.

Never leave home without it.
No, it’s not an Amex card, it’s the VI3 Reference Card written by Forbes Guthrie. A lot of things on this little gem pop up or are useful in the VCP exam and day-to-day it’s come in handy a number of times.
I’ll try and keep a link to it in my useful links sidebar but it’s well worth bookmarking it yourself.
